The taste, aroma and the traditional way of baking has kept Salahuddin Bakery to open since the year 1937. The bakery that was founded by Sharif Khan, is now run by the third generation of the family, Salahuddin Shamshul Khan, 44 which is Sharif’s grandson.

The bakery is situated at Jalan Dhoby, Johor Bahru has managed to keep its presence despite the progressive growth of modern bakeries nowadays, especially near the Johor Bahru center point. This is mainly because of the way they bake the breads and wholesome products by using traditional huge brick oven and heated by charcoal and wood. The heat will keep the temperature of the clay bricks at its optimum level and turn the dough into golden brown and ready for selling.

Customers, often residents of Johor Bahru and Singaporean are queuing for their favourite buns to be taken out from the oven so that they could enjoy the freshly baked food that is so rare to find now. In addition there is variety of breads for customers to choose from plain bread, Bengali curry puffs, muffins, buns with fillings, biscuits and so much more.
