The Sultan breathed his last at 7.15pm at the Puteri Specialist Hospital after he was admitted to the hospital earlier following an illness. Menteri Besar Datuk Ghani Othman made the announcement on TV3 at 11.20pm.</p>
<p>He was 77 and has ruled the state for almost three decades. The Sultan left behind his wife, the Sultanah of Johor Sultanah Zanariah and 10 children.</p>

The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail, passed away at 7.15pm yesterday. He would have been 78 in April. A Sultan for almost three decades, he had been admitted earlier in the day to the Puteri Specialist Hospital here due to an illness. Two hours before his death, the Tengku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ibrahim Ismail was appointed regent. Sultan Iskandar was the third son of the late Sultan Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and the great grandson of the Father of Modern Johor, the late Sultan Abu Bakar. He received his early education in Johor Baharu, before pursuing his studies in Australia and united Kingdom. He was also the Colonel-in-Chief of the Malaysian Special Service Regiment (Commando) and was always seen clad in a military uniform during official events due to his passion for military service. His name was associated with many schools in Johor, as well as sports events like the Iskandar Johor Open Golf Tournament and southeren Johor development corridor, the Iskandar Malaysia. Ghani also announced that the people could pay their last respects at Istana Besar from 9am to 10.30am today while VIPs would be able to do so from 11am to noon. Those wishing to pay their last respects will have to adhere to the respective dress codes. Sultan Iskandar will be buried at the Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum at 2pm. The menteri besar also announced a seven-day mourning period for the people of Johor and 40 days for the royal family. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://jbcool.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/jbcool-circuit-1.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-623" title="jbcool-circuit-1" src="http://jbcool.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/jbcool-circuit-1-300x218.jpg" alt="jbcool-circuit-1" width="300" height="218" /></a>Pasir Gudang circuit is another world class racing circuit in Malaysia, just behind the Sepang International Circuit.  It is located 30 kilometers away at the eastern part from <a href="http://jbcool.com/">Johor Bahru</a> and just 15 minutes to reach the Tanjung Langsat Port.</p>
<p>The circuit was built in the year 1986, and was launched by Sultan Iskandar of the state Johor. At first, the development of the circuit is for the local people to use, but then being upgraded for international events.</p>
<p>It was in the year 1994 that the circuit satisfies the FIM World GP homologation requirements and four years later, they hosted World Motorcycle Grand Prix Championship. One of its major factor to attract visitors is because of the location is near to the Senai airport, and not to forget our neighbor, Singapore.</p>
<p>Not just providing a good lane to drive and ride, Pasir Gudang circuit also provides other amenities to cope the customer’s needs. For instance, there are café, exhibition area, more pits, go-kart facility, motor cross track, motorsports academy and many more.</p>

<p>Those who want to use the circuit for training or racing, you may do so by first register, make payment and then required to sign indemnity at the administration office. According to the schedule provided, bike practice sessions are usually held in the morning from 9.00 am while for car training sessions, the time starts at 1 pm to 5 pm.</p>
