Two Men Detained For Investigation On Individual Impersonating The TMJ On Facebook
The police have detained two men to assist investigations into a case of an individual impersonating the Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris Sultan Ibrahim , in a Facebook website.Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said the two men, aged 31 and 33, were detained about 1.30am today at a house in Taman Seri Majidee, Johor Baharu. Two laptops and a handphone were seized from the duo, he told reporters here Tuesday.
The facebook accounts, purportedly by the TMJ, were handled by an individual who went by the moniker “Milky”. Besides uploading the pictures and activities of Tunku Ismail, the individual concerned also entertained comments by followers who were misled into thinking that he was the prince. The other news is about racism. We just celebrated our 53rd Merdeka yesterday, but seems like racism is getting out of control. People with a sound mind would not have any problems to ignore the remarks made but extremist may take it differently.
Chua calls for action against racism
MCA wants the authorities to act against those making racist remarks including controversial rapper Wee Meng Chee or better known as Namewee and the two school heads in Johor and Kedah.Its president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said the government should be firm in rejecting all forms of extremism, be it racial or religious.
