Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum

If you are free this weekend and want to learn more about Johor Bahru history, this is the place. The Chinese Heritage Museum, Johor Bahru has recently been opened.

Here, you will learn the history of how Johor come about with the help of Kangchu system introduced by The Teochew. Besides Teochew, Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese & Hainanese came to Johor or earlier called Tanah Selatan ( Southern Land ) and establish their associations. Some of the first original association buildings are still the in operation today.

Opening hours:
9am – 5pm daily (Closed on Monday excluding Public Holidays),  sale of tickets closes at 4pm.

RM3 for adults, RM1 for children, students and senior citizens
