False Durian Promise!!!

Should we believe all ads that are served to us by the newspaper or other media? We don’t know and we can’t answer that. However, a couple from Singapore who read an advertisement about “Durian Feast” in Johor Bahru felt that they were cheated. It was not revealed where the stall or Durian Feast took place but it is really not nice to hear such thing.

CALL it shell-shock. A couple who saw an advertisement for a ‘durian feast’ in Johor Bahru experienced exactly that when they did not get what they were promised.

The ad, which ran in last Saturday’s edition of The Straits Times, was taken out by S’Mart, a wholesale market located about eight km from the Woodlands Checkpoint. It promised that customers would get free durian samples before buying, and if they spent at least RM20 on durian, they would get 1kg of mangosteens or rambutans free.
