Maybe not many knows about the on going Sultan Johor Cup currently taking place in Johor Bahru. Well, here are some news about the hockey tournament adopted from daijiworld(dot)com.

Defender Gurjinder Singh will lead India juniors in the six-nation Sultan Johor Cup hockey at Johor Bahru, Malaysia Nov 5-12.

Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand and Pakistan are the other teams participating.

The tournament shall be played at Taman Daya Stadium, Johor Bahru on a round-robin format with the final and other position matches slated for Nov 12.

Selection Trials for the Indian team for this tournament were conducted at SAI Centre, Bangalore Oct 14-15 and witnessed by Hockey India selectors Balbir Singh, BP Govinda and Syed Ali.

Yes!!! Another drift competition – drift event will take place at the end of the month. This is really cool for those drift enthusiast. Although you are not a drifter, watching this amazing drift competition will be such an awesome experience. I have been to the drift competition in Kipmart Senai last year and it was such a phenomenal experience. Go check it out yourself. Bring your digital camera, camcorder and also cap/umbrella. It may get slightly hotter in the late afternoon.

There are 2 floating flatboats with 4 docking bays with capable to support an extension as required at The ZON Ferry Terminal, Stulang Laut. This place is adequate to manage the total of 8 ferries per hour. It is an official port and an international entrance point in Southern Malaysia with ferry services to several international destinations, including Batam and Bintan Islands in Indonesia. The operation hours for the ZON Ferry Terminal are starting from 7.00am to 9.00pm daily. The daily ferry is departing every hour from the terminal and it makes the process of departing go smoothly without hassle. Tiram Indoor Water Park covers about 26,000 square feet and is proudly the first water theme park in a shopping complex in Johor. It can entertain up to 1000 people at one time.

The Indoor water theme park which took 6 month to construct cost about RM4 million and is positioned in the ground floor of Today’s Mall, Ulu Tiram and started its operation last August.

According to Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman, the new amusement centre had a unique structure and was suitable for the entire family.

The water park stood to gain popularity as it was located along the trunk road between Johor Baru and Kota Tinggi, which has numerous tourist attractions.

“The location is in Iskandar Malaysia and it is accessible from various highways, such as the Senai-Desaru Expressway.

“The park will further develop the state’s tourism sector as it will become a major attraction for local and foreign tourists, including Singaporeans.

“The Today’s Mall is unique as it combines elements of shopping, entertainment and tourism,” said Ghani in a speech that was read by state Tourism and Domestic Trade Committee chairman Hoo Seong Chang during the launching ceremony.

Visiting – Tickets – Operation Hours of Tiram Indoor Water Park

The charges for children is RM10 (Monday to Friday) and RM15 (Saturday, Sunday and public holidays). In the other hand, adults are charged RM15 (Monday to Friday) and RM20 (Saturday, Sunday and public holiday).

Operation hours are from 10 am to 11pm from Monday to Friday, while for Saturday and public holiday night, the operation hours are extended from 10 am to 12 midnight. On Sunday and public holiday, it the Indoor Water Park will be opened from 9 am to 11 pm.

What can be expected in Tiram Indoor Water Park?

The indoor water park is equipped with fun rides such as slides and many more, just like those available in other water theme parks

In addition to that, it is decorated with various sea creatures such as octopus, fish, dolphins, shell and a number of flora and fauna species which are available at the bottom of the sea.

For parents who bring their small kids, they can purchase suitable floats for them which are sold at the indoor water theme park at a reasonable price.

A number of facilities such as toilets, locker and caferia are also available visitors’ convenience.

When security is concern, the indoor water park has allocated as much as 20 staffs that will monitor the safety in its surrounding. The pool is also only about 0.6 meter deep. So, you don’t have to be worry for your kids’ safety if they cannot swim.

Another plus point of coming to this fabulous Indoor water park is you not only can have fun with your family but also have the opportunity to enjoy 3D cinemas (which is the first in Johor), karaoke and do normal grocery shopping at Giant hypermarket inside Today’s Mall, Ulu Tiram.
