Sukma 2010 Updates: Terengganu Win Again
Although it is not anywhere near the 61 gold medals they won two years ago at home, still the 47 gold, 30 silver and 43 bronzes spoke highly of their young athletes.
Johor didn’t do badly either. We are fourth overall with 40 gold, 39 silver and 53 bronzes.

Yes, we got gold for weightlifting, but not so good news form our rugby team as we lost to Trengganu in the finals. Johor who took the early lead, saw the defending champion level the score and 7-7 but Johor managed another Try to lead 12-7 before a late blitz by Terengganu. But there’s still a Silver medal in hand.

Johor Clinches Two Gold In Women’s Golf
The Johor women’s golf squad enjoyed their maiden win in Sukma, bagging two gold medals in the individual and team events. In today’s final round held at the Ayer Keroh Golf Club, Kelly Tan scored a one-over 73 to follow up her 76 and 69 for a three-day total of two-over par 218 to clinch her maiden Sukma gold medal. Archers Haziq and Shahira Win Two Gold Medals For Johor
Haziq Kamaruddin and Shahira Abdul Halim delivered two gold medals for Johor in archery to bring the total tally for the southern state to four on the third day of the Sukan Malaysia XIII Melaka 2010. The 17-year-old Haziq won gold in the men’s 50metre recurve with a score of 333 to narrowly win the event over Pulau Pinang’s Mohd Fareez Rosli who had to settle for the silver and Mohd Izzuddin Abdul Rahim to the bronze.
