Asean Trade Centre to be opened in Johor Bahru

Great news!!! Aero Mall will be opened really soon. Early information from MalaysianWings.net forumer, Alan B. stated:

“The PM launched the Aero Mall at Senai Airport this morning. While it’s completed the tenants have yet to move in. I understand it would be operational this 1st of June. Passengers both arriving and departing will have to pass thru the new extension to the terminal. As the pictures will show it’s follows the current trend of using steel and glass in it’s design with alot of natural light which is a stark contrast to the old building which is dark and dingy.”

Honestly, I really look forward for the opening of Aero Mall, the first integrated stand-alone and external airport mall in Malaysia. I always come and go to Senai Airport for air travel and I can see the massive construction of the huge mall which covers substantial area of 3,716.12 sq m of retail space. It was said that this long awaited mall cost around a staggering RM70 million.

It was earlier reported that by the Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd general manager finance and retail development Chan Kwai Yew that the mall would be positioned and marketed as the new lifestyle hub in the area.

So, what can we expect from Aero Mall?

You can expect a luxurious shopping, dining and entertainment experience in an airports. With this concept in place, airports are no longer just places for air travellers or well-wishers to send off airborne passengers, but more than that.
